Mr Neil Bulstrode is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon world renowned for his work in the field of Ear Reconstruction, Otoplasty, CMN and Vascular anomalies. He has been the Head of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the reputed Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) for Children in London.
The Great Ormond Street Hospital is a centre of excellence for paediatric plastic surgery including Ear Reconstruction, Cleft, Craniofacial and Congenital hand surgery. It welcomes a number of clinical fellows from the UK and the world over. Plastic Surgery Consultants from the GOSH have agreed to facilitate the ISAPS fellows by allowing them to join their operating lists and clinics at GOSH as well as at their private practice in the city of London.
The fellowship provides an inclusive, integrated and in-depth exposure to state-of-the-art practice at the GOSH along with a wide variety of cosmetic surgery procedures in individual private practices. The exposure to reconstructive surgery helps to improve the understanding and practice of cosmetic surgery and vice versa.

Licensure
Licensure is required. If you would like to scrub in with the procedures you will have to be registered with the General Medical Council first. It is your own responsibility to apply for this registration. This is a long process and includes taking an English language test.

During the course of my fellowship, I had the opportunity to visit multiple private practices across London and learn the finer nuances of a variety of aesthetic procedures.
I also had the opportunity to learn and discuss complex facial reanimation with the faculty and the visiting professors at the Great Ormond Street Hospital. The intricate and detailed planning for the routine procedures that took place amongst multi-disciplinary teams was impressive. There was a lot of diversity in the department which enabled me to learn different techniques adopted by different surgeons across the globe.
I met some great colleagues and made some good friends. We were able to discuss and exchange notes based on our experiences and this was extremely valuable.
This fellowship offers a great mix of private aesthetic practices across London as well as craniofacial, if you desire. This was an extremely valuable experience for me and I am happy to integrate some of the finer tips and tricks into my practice in the future. I left having made good friends, acquiring mentors and enjoyed my stay thoroughly.
