Nanofat

Nanofat injections are a recent development in lipofilling. Typical applications include injecting nanofat cells to correct superficial rhytides, skin quality in general, and the appearance of scars and dark lower eyelids. New applications in rhinoplasty, cleft lip and palate and treatment of post-mastectomy pain syndrome have recently been discussed in our journal, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet-rich plasma is increasingly used in skin and facial rejuvenation, as it is a great source of growth factors, cytokines, and other biologically active substances associated with tissue regeneration and remodeling. Various scientific articles have shown that PRP therapy is an efficient option for hair loss in both men and women. Other applications include its use in hand rejuvenation, breast surgery and musculoskeletal regeneration.

Stem Cells

Adipose tissue-derived stem cells (ADSCs) have numerous applications in plastic and reconstructive surgery, including improving results in fat grafting and the treatment of scars, facial rejuvenation, and nerve regeneration. Significant improvements have also been reported in wound and ulcer healing, scleroderma and promoting hair growth.
