Professor of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, Egypt: Twenty years of experience in Cleft Surgery at Alexandria main University Hospital and in private practice, during which I performed more than 1000 cases.

My M.D. thesis (2007) is in Cleft Surgery, and I participate as a lecturer and Tutor Surgeon in Cleft surgery Workshops organized by the Faculty of Medicine in Cairo University, in which we train surgeons from Egypt and Arab countries on Cleft surgery.

I founded an NGO-NPO (www.nilesmile.org), dedicated to provision of optimum surgical treatment for children with "Cleft lip" in Nile basin countries and needy areas anywhere, with collateral training of local surgeons on cleft surgery.
